New C-I Platform in Olympic Park
This week we launched a new project for the Canal & River Trust at one of their landmark locations inside the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London. The unique double radial gates at Carpenters Road Lock are being refurbished over the next six months, creating new facilities for visitors on land and on the waterways.
City-Insights was already down to provide digital heritage, wayfinding and trails once the project completes in May 2017, but we offered our flexibile content system to start early and offer updates and information about the restoration project as it goes forward. Using QR, NFC and analogue codes on the site hoarding, visitors can find out about the engineering challenges, project milestones, view timelapse films and hear oral history about the way the canal used to look (and smell).
You can view the current site online at www.crl.london to follow the project as it develops.
