Explosion! Portsmouth Royal Dockyards

City-Insights, as a digital company, has been very interested in the future of the printed word and image - is there a way to bridge the digi-print divide?

We think so.

We are currently putting our heads together with a select team from the Historic Royal Dockyards and History Press, the UK’s largest local and specialist history publisher - publishing around 500 books a year on a wide range of subjects including military history, ancient, medieval and modern history, biography, transport, archaeology, heritage and sport.

After several meetings, and some very forward thinking conversations, we can see a real potential to incorporating triggers to digital information-experiences into printed material.

To this end a pilot project has been proposed, and is being formulated, at Explosion! Portsmouth's museum of naval firepower, Gosport side of the harbour.

Set to go live around Easter 2016 - don't hold your breath, but definitely watch this space!
