Introductions with Pointr

Today we had an introductory meeting with Chris, the COO of Pointr, a hot Internet of Things company working out of Europe at the moment.

Pointr specialise in indoor navigation and positioning software which uses clever algorithms and tools to do the job that GPS does for you outside - telling you where you are.

We can really see the potential of technology such as this, for example being able to see the impact of a new H&S policy on the movement of workers around a construction site, or for ensuring people don’t stray into restricted areas of attractions.

The power of big data is clear and yet its implications and value are not yet fully understood by everyone.
