Know Your Place

In May 2016, City-Insights, TGAC and Hotrod have been jointly awarded the Interpretation Planning role for the Know Your Place touring exhibition and subsequent temporary exhibition, by South Gloucestershire County Council.

This is to be a series of around four interactive 'kiosks'. For six months they will be travelling around the West of England bringing digital heritage experiences into schools, libraries, shopping centres, visitor centres and other public spaces, finally coming together to form a temporary exhibtion which will run for 3-5 years.

Working with the South Gloucestershire County Council and 25 partner organisation that have come together for this project, we will be examining sense of place and how people relate to their communities past and present, as well as building community and appreciation for local environments.

This project is giving people a chance to explore and contribute to the amazing narratives and stories of the West of England, dipping into the rich sea of local images, videos, oral histories and sharing their own.
