The time has come…

…the HLF grant has been awarded…

…and City-Insights, TGAC, Hotrod and Islington Borough Council are ready to start a very exciting project;

The first ever UK LGBT Public Archive.

This is a great opportunity for the team to apply our experience in community building projects and grappling with potentially sensitive ideas, information and interactions. There will be extensive skills-sharing throughout the project working with a variety of teams from Islington and beyond. Best of all is being present at the opening stages of something new and important; creating a constantly growing and reshaping, crowd sourced accessible collection of memories, images, film and more…

At the moment we are all in the Discovery phase; meeting and brainstorming, workshopping and starting to shape and refine broad stroke concepts into a clear set of project ‘tools and processes’, i.e. flexible ways of defining, creating agreement and achieving a project’s goals.
