Pembroke Castle tells medieval stories through City-Insights
03/11/14
We are delighted to have installed the City-Insights Platform in and around Pembroke Castle, Wales, as part of an exciting new interpretation project recently commissioned by the Castle.
Using their smart devices, visitors are able to access additional information about the five Earls featured in the interpretation and get closer to some of the castle’s medieval occupants. Visitors can access an ‘in-detail’ page about each of the characters they encounter which adds to the audiovisual experience already on offer; they can read more about what they are hearing with features like text analysis to explain the audio content in more depth. Other features of the Platform include a detailed map of the Castle, which pinpoints where each character is located, and the answers to the ‘Medieval Call my Bluff’ interactive picnic tabletop.
Our Platform is providing a second dimension to an already engaging experience that appeals to those visitors left wanting to know more about the history of Pembroke Castle, what the Earls of Pembroke did and how it’s occupants would have lived.
